Subsidized Health Care
Many states offer subsidized healthcare for low income families, particularly for pregnant women and children.
It is based upon the income of the individuals and money is paid to the state government who subsidizes the healthcare for the family. This health insurance works for families that make too much money for Medicaid but not enough money for regular insurance plans.
